As odd as it might sound there is still a lot to discover about Italy's epicurean obsession. I live in the Northern part of Italy and hope to be able to shed some light on the lesser known culinary practices, ingredients and recipes of this part of the world. How the basil leaf has been turned into one of the noblest creations of Italian cuisine, pesto sauce, is the starting point of a weblog that I hope will introduce the multifaceted world of Italian regional foods, drinks and habits.
